For many years, Ten Eighteen was a idea on "the back burner". In 2008 the Lord opened an opportunity to launch, and our original idea was that we would work in Zambia. However, Father always has His best plan in mind, and we connected after a many-year absence with our friends the Mumfords, who have established Fathers House in Kampala, Uganda. Starting with a rent payment for the new building for Ray of Hope in February of 2009, Uganda has become the focus of the ministry. Jennings and her kids have since fallen in love with the country over 4 visits, and feel as at home there as in North Carolina.
Job 29:12-13 - "...I delivered the poor who cried for help, and the orphan who had no helper, the blessing of the one ready to perish came upon me, and I made the widow's heart sing for joy" - sums up our mission: the vast needs of the poor, the orphaned and fatherless, the dying, and the widows and single mothers.
It is our desire to live out James 1:27 - "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress... "
We hope that you will join us as we bring God's love and blessings to those whom many have forgotten.
Ten Eighteen Inc. was established in late 2008 as a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization per the IRS rules.
