As of August, 2010, we are sponsoring school fees for 36 children P1 through university level. We would love for YOU to sponsor a child, and build a relationship with these wonderful kids half a world away.
We are also committed to helping Arise Africa find sponsors for all the unsponsored orphans currently residing in Bukaleba, and for the primary school kids who will be attending the new school in January 2012. In the meantime, these kids are extremely vulnerable, and we would like to be able to sponsor them where they currently are, so that they will survive until the school opens.
We can NEVER outgive the need... Uganda has the 3rd most orphans in the world, and only 45% of children can afford the fees to attend school. "Free" education in Uganda isn't free - but the cost, by US standards is minimal - from $30-100 each term, for 3 terms per year. Our Makerere University student received a government scholarship for tuition, room and board, but has about $50 per term in supplies that are required.
If you can help, either a one-time gift, or by sponsoring a child ongoingly, please let us know and we will be happy to get you information, photos, and a way to communicate with your child.

All of these childrens' school fees are sponsored by Ten Eighteen
